Sage Farm Antiques is a monthly 3 day show of antique and vintage items for 20 to 40 dealers.
Sage Farm Antiques is a 3 day show held 9 months of the year, featuring original antiques as well as vintage, repurposed and up-cycled goodness! Always open the first Friday of the month when in session, we are known for our custom farm tables, potting benches and sofa tables and we will consider making custom cupboards and book cases as well as any specialty pieces you envision. We have a new line of kitchen islands with soapstone tops. Window mirrors are another favorite of ours. We focus on windows that are very unusual and hard to find. We try to stock at least one country store counter at all times and we love garden and architectural antiques and vintage pieces. Our normal show consists of 15 to 20 dealers in our 1780 colonial and the barn on the property. We also do some larger shows with 40 to 45 dealers presenting an assortment of furniture, lighting, home décor, jewelry, linens and so much more. These shows find us around the corner from our usual show, located at the Rollins building in North Hampton. Please always check our schedule for location and hours as they change monthly. We are excited to participate in all 3 Brimfield Antique Shows. Located on two fields, Mahogany Ridge and also Shelton’s. These shows are held 3 times annually, in May, July and September. This famous show is huge with fields going back 5 deep from the road and extending for a mile along Route 20. Something for everyone at "Brim" as it’s known to regulars. You can find a wide assortment of the country and primitive look that we favor in our designs, in colors with depth and warmth on the Mahogany Ridge field. The Shelton’s field showcases our country look but we add some formal pieces here and the tent is usually displayed in neutral shades. We use a variety of paints when we restore pieces, Annie Sloan, Mud Paint and Caromal Colors to name a few of our favorites. October of 2015 finds us celebrating our15th anniversary and hosting a large 100 dealer show with live music and food daily. Presenters include designers Sarah Richardson and Tommy Smythe, hosts of the HGTV series Sarah Style, as well as Wendy Addison of Theatre of Dreams in California and John Bruno of the PBS show Market Warriors. We hope to continue this tradition annually and encourage you to check our Facebook and Event page to keep up with notifications about each event as they evolve. Please, drop us a line through our website contact form and follow us on Twitter and Pinterest.

Interview Q&A
How long have you been in business?
Since 2001, Sage Farm Antiques has been the areas longest running monthly market with 20 to 40 dealers offering a unique, varied assortment of furniture, home decor, architectural, garden, lighting, and jewelry.
What is your primary product or service?
Sage Farm Antiques 20 to 40 dealers offer a unique, varied assortment of furniture, home decor, architectural, garden, lighting, and jewelry. We have everything from folk to fancy with a focus on country. Since 2001, our philosophy has been, “Your home is your story, tell it well.” We can’t wait to see you at the Market!
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Initially, antiques did not interest me. My parents collected antiques and took us to auctions on Saturdays and out hunting for treasures each weekend. I grew to love and appreciate older things. They have more character and they tell a story, unlike the mass produced sameness of most big box stores today. Somehow, I learned about many things vicariously through my dad who was an active "Picker", little tidbits of info that help me be successful in the antiques world of today. He liked to say he was a "Jack of all trades, master of none." It can be true, there is so much to learn in the antique world and you do have to try to know a little about everything. I have a graduate degree in counseling and while I use it every day, I much prefer the antique world to the counseling world. I consider myself very fortunate to be in a business that allows me to be creative, meet new people and travel. I couldn't ask for more.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
. Our antique shop is known for custom pieces, especially potting benches and farm tables. We are happy to try to meet your needs with a custom piece during our slower months of January through March. We also are open only once a month for 3 days, always the first Friday of the month through Sunday. In our trade this has come to be known as running an "occasional sale". After each sale we and the 15 to 40 other dealers who do our show, do a complete switch out of our stock and bring in new stock for each show. You can see us at all 3 Brimfield shows in Massachusetts and we also do The Country Living Show in Rhinebeck .NY. In 2015 we are hosting an Autumn Spectacular show in honor of our anniversary. Moving forward we will do that each October. Come visit us at any or all of these great locations.

What are your hours of operation?
Sage Farm Antiques is open once per month on the first Friday, Saturday and Sunday of each month with our operating hours being 10:00am - 7:00pm Friday, 10am to 5pm on both Saturday and Sunday.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
The best compliment anyone can give me is that I am fair and honest. That is not always true of folks in my trade. We have always tried to give full disclosure on what we have restored, what is original, the age of things etc. While I don't always know the answer, if I don't, I say that.
What is your favorite quote or Bible verse?
"The issues that matter most to us thunder through our minds and bodies like a galloping herd of buffalo. Listen!" It was on a calendar I had once, I have no idea who said it but it is so very true.
